The Concept and Initial Sketches
The journey of designing my first physical product started with a simple sketch. I brainstormed ideas, focusing on functionality and aesthetics. Sketching helped me visualize proportions, refine concepts, and address potential usability issues before moving to the next phase.
Prototyping and Refinements
Once I had a solid concept, I created a prototype using 3D printing. The first iteration had flaws, but testing it helped identify necessary refinements. I adjusted dimensions, material choices, and ergonomic factors through multiple iterations until I achieved the desired outcome.
Manufacturing and Final Production
With a polished prototype, I collaborated with manufacturers to ensure efficient production. Material selection, cost analysis, and quality control were essential considerations. Seeing my design come to life in a finished product was an incredibly rewarding experience, marking the start of my journey in product design.
